Troubleshooting

Q: How long does Inoculant stay active for in the applicator?

    A: Many inoculants vary, but the general guidelines are 24-48 hours.  

Q: The inoculant is not flowing through my pump.

    A: Make sure the cover is securely clicked down on the pumping tube.  

Q: Which size pumping tube should I use?

    A: For forage, use the larger pumping tube.  For silage, use the smaller pumping tube.

Q: What if it will freeze at night?

    A: You can add a 2% pink antifreeze solution.  Run it through the tubes for 1 minute.

Q: What can I do if it's getting too hot out and the inoculant gets over 100 degrees?

    A: Add an ice pack to the tank. 

Q: No power to the system OR the light in the controller is not on.

    A: You may have a bad connection. Make sure the plugs are clean and secure. Be sure the pump wires are firmly attached.  Be sure the power connections are wired correctly and the power source is switched on. ​​

Q: The applicator works for a while, but no longer pumps.

    A: You need to replace the pumping tube. See instructions.

Q:The pump runs, but it's blowing bubbles in the tank.

    A: The applicator was wired wrong at the power source.  Switch the red and black wires around.

Q: The pump runs, but does not pump or is pumping backwards

    A: Make sure the pumping tube is firmly in the pump. Unscrew the wing nuts from the top of the pump box. The grey lid should be tightly closed. 

OR The pumping tube might also be worn out.

OR The hoses to the pumping tube are on backwards.
